Decks on the coast take a beating. Salt air works on the fasteners, sun cooks the finish, and water finds the joists and the ledger board long before anything looks wrong from the top side. We build new decks, tear out and rebuild the ones that are past saving, and handle deck repair when it just needs boards, railings, or stair work put right.
